National Donut/Doughnut Day is celebrated in the U.S. on the first Friday in June each year and we're always up for a celebration!

*Fun fact* (according to Wiki): **[National Donut Day was started](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/National_Doughnut_Day)** in 1938 in Chicago to honor of The Salvation Army “Doughnut Lassies” who served donuts to our troops during WWI. After discovering that serving baked goods would be difficult considering the conditions of the huts and the limited rations, two volunteers began frying donuts in soldiers’ helmets. These tasty treats boosted morale and won the hearts of many soldiers.
