As self proclaimed NPR nerds, we jump at the opportunity to help promote WBHM! For 43 years WBHM has created and broadcasts meaningful content that keeps all of us informed on local, national, and international events. This Alabama Life is a night that will celebrate the local impact WBHM has on the Greater Birmingham Community.


Head to the glamorous UAB Alys Stephens Center and prepare yourselves for various live performances and storytelling! This event will give you a glimpse of what it’s like to create content for the radio.

You can expect music from Early James and the Latest and Forward Barbershop Quartet! There will also be an interview with internationally renowned physician Dr. Michael Saag and story telling from Bob Byrd and Arc Stories own Taylor Robinson!

The fun doesn’t stop there! Guests will be treated to an interactive quiz show! Admission comes with light appetizers and a drink ticket. Act fast since this event SOLD OUT last year! Through this event, the WBHM Junior Board successfully raised over $12,000 for the station last year and they are hoping to surpass that goal in 2019!

The funds raised will help power this wonderful radio station, attract new sponsors, and will help to provide new original content to WBHM’s over 110,000 listeners! Just by attending and having fun you can help WBHM in its mission to continue to inform and engage people throughout this region of Alabama!
