This weekend brings all kinds of wonderful events, but the one we are most excited about is Secret Stages 2018! This Music Discovery Festival has moved to Avondale! We can’t stress enough how much fun it is! You should definitely go for the VIP tickets since you get delicious meals, drinks, and so much more! And, they might just pull it off....if they can stop throwing shade at one another! “WONDERLAND WIVES” is an Alabama premiere of one of the funniest plays we’ve read in a long time! Join Alabama Outdoors at our Homewood location the third Party on the Porch of the season! They'll have food from Eugene's Hot Chicken, scoops from Big Spoon Creamery, brews from Cahaba Brewing Company, and tunes from The Old Fashioned Rhythm Method. The High Point Climbing And Fitness will be there, too! Proceeds from this Party on the Porch will benefit the Junior League of Birmingham- one of the largest volunteer organizations in America. This is a family-friendly event. We hope to see you there!

Secret Stages 2018Secret Stages

Secret Stages is a two-day walking music festival that will take place in Avondale. (Pro Tip: Get VIP Passes! Totally worth it!) For two nights a diverse group of music enthusiasts are treated to around 60 bands performing on the stages of neighborhood establishments. These acts were drawn from the nation, the region, and our own backyard, and all are up-and-coming or buzz-worthy acts on the cusp of making a big splash. All Secret Stages venues are within a two-block radius, so our patrons can come to the city center, park, and have walking access to dozens of bands, a variety of venues, and delectable restaurants. This is one of our favorite Birmingham events that we look forward to each year!

Corbin Farms Winery is celebrating a Grand Re-Opening and having a Family Day! They will have a bounce house, a water slide, and a dunking booth!. You will get a chance to dunk one of the Corbin guys or Chef Daniel! In addition, they will be serving hamburgers and hotdogs with a glass of wine. Cheese and fruit plates and other standard menu items will be available to order as well (not included with admission). Kids will receive sodas or water. Looking to crave your sweet tooth...... they will have cotton candy for sale. Dixieland Funnel Cakes will also be there to sale funnel cakes and lemonade. We are excited for another Get Healthy on the Railroad series. Urban Ministry’s chef Ama Shambulia will be demonstrating fresh, simple, southern favorite recipes you can easily replicate at home, as well as sharing healthy eating tips. The first 100 registered participants receive a FREE bag of produce from Piggly Wiggly Clairmont Avenue. Registration will open 30 minutes prior to class. Class will take place at the 17th St. Plaza at Railroad Park.
