Gather your thoughts and regain your focus. The Vestavia Hill Library is offering an afternoon Tai Chi class in the Community Room. This is a low-impact, slow-motion exercise taught by a certified instructor. No registration is required. This will definitely help you regain some calm as the week comes to an end.

Ground Floor Contemporary is pleased to present "With Feeling", an exhibition of work by Avital Burg, Mary Addison Hackett, Polly Shindler, and Kelly S. Williams. The show will include intimate interiors, landscapes, and still life's, paintings made in response to personal subject matter and the experience of looking closely. Early James and the Latest are an Americana band based in Birmingham, Alabama. They attempt to re-spin what has been spun many times before; a so called “fresh” take on Folk, Blues, Jazz, and Country with dark, rusty, crooner-esque stylings. Opening for Early James, Sarah Lee Langford is a Birmingham based country/Americana artist. Her second record, Moving Forward, is forthcoming in 2019 and was recorded at Ol Elegante. For the Shed Series, Sarah will be joined by Ford Boswell on pedal steel.

Normally scheduled the first Friday of the month, this edition of Bards & Brews Open Mic will take place the SECOND Friday in July due to the Birmingham Public Library being closed July 5 for the 4th of July holiday.
