Self Defense for Women

The best way to prepare yourself to fight off an attacker is to take a self-defense class.
Join us as Det. Juan Rodriquez, owner of the Summit Training Academy, teaches you how to size up a situation and decide what to do. He will also teach things you can do to get away, including ways to break an attacker's grasp and ways to catch your attacker off guard. Participation is free; however, registration is required as space is limited. Online registration required.

Head to the Annual BBQ Cook-off Fundraiser benefiting the Shelby County Arts Council and the South Shelby Chamber of Commerce. There will be vendors and live music! If you want to sample BBQ from all competing teams and vote on your favorite at the Shindig, you must have a $10 tasting ticket! These are limited in supply and we recommend purchasing your's online and in advance! The event itself is free, but we know you’ll want to try all that bbq for just $10!
