Alabama is blessed with an abundance of waterways; from mountain streams to blackwater sloughs to coastal bays, this state has it all. Beneath those 77,000 miles of freshwater rivers and streams lies more aquatic biodiversity than in any other state, including 38% of all North American fish species. Collectively, darters are the most colorful of these fishes. This program will showcase not only this dazzling array of darters, but also many other fish species that call Alabama’s waterways home. Join in for this last seminar before our summer break!
