Heading into some Valentine’s Day Fun! 
It’s the weekend before Valentine’s Day and you are going to LOVE these events! There’s a little bit of everything from Mardi Gras events, to some events that are pet friendly! UAB Blazers Thirsty Thursday

Come cheer on the Blazers on Thursday, February 8th, as they host their second straight Top 25 team and last season's Final Four participant Florida Atlantic. Head out to Bartow Arena for a great night of college basketball with tickets for just $10 through the link below!  Domestic beer will also be $5 for the evening. The Blazers will be wearing black and fans are encouraged to do the same.

Kiss ‘Em or Diss ‘Em Valentine’s Spectacular

Sidewalk Cinema is hosting their annual Kiss ‘Em or Diss ‘Em event! This is such a fun and creative way to celebrate Valentine’s. You can pick between a romantic film OR something that is the complete opposite! It kicks off Thursday night in the Cinema Lobby with FREE “Soundtrack Karaoke.” You can sing some of your favorite romantic movie hits! The movies will be shown on Friday & Saturday starting at 7pm. 
Friday: The Notebook OR American Psycho
Saturday: Love & Basketball OR But I’m a Cheerleader
Tickets for the films are $15, but you can get a VIP package ($30 single/$50 couple) that includes ticket(s) to the film of your choice and a wristband that will give you access to a tarot reader (Friday night), astrologer(Saturday Night), bracelet and button making stations, a DIY Valentine Station, photo backdrops and options for photos with professional photographer David Smith, drink specials, and 2 limited edition stickers!!!

This is one of our favorite FREE Bham events! Head over to Saturn at 8pm this Sunday for a special VHS screening of Ernest Scared Stupid, and bring some mi-ak with ya! It's gonna get gooey! The film will be shown on an old tv as well as being projected on the screen! 
As per usual, there'll be eats and sips aplenty on-hand. Snacks, popcorn, pizza, wow! And for the adults in the audience (all shows are 18+, after all), there'll be a special drink that should help ward off any evil trolls that might show up.
