The Chili Cook Off is BACK for 2022!
It looks like we are going to have AMAZING Spring weather for this weekend's events! We’ll be attending the Chili Cook Off and helping out at the “Immediate” tent! (Come say hi!)  There are plenty of other fun events including an Art Show this Sunday for our good friend, Ashly Guest, who does the Free Art Friday art drops around town! ArtPlay Family Day: Women in the Visual Arts

In celebration of Women’s History Month, ArtPlay is having a Women in Visual Arts Family Day on Saturday, March 5 from 1-3 pm! Bring the entire family out to the beautiful Abroms-Engel Institute for Visual Arts (AEIVA) for lots of fun and lots of learning! Your children will be able to learn from local female artists as well as immerse themselves in the history of legendary ladies like Frida Kahlo. And once you’re done creating you’ll have the opportunity to tour AEIVA’s incredible galleries, featuring nationally renowned female artists.

Solo Art Exhibit Opening: Silent Anguish 2.0

Be prepared to marinate and participate in the emotions of an artist expressing themselves through a variety of elements, activating all of your senses. Past Artworks + latest abstract series, Silent Anguish 2.0 by our friend, Ashley D. Guest, will be on display. In the center of the Gallery, a room will exist, encapsulating an interactive encounter of Ashley’s latest abstract series, Silent Anguish 2.0. Patrons are invited to a corner of the room to emerge themselves into the depths of her struggles. Entering 3 people at a time, those spectating will be able to visit with her emotions via paintings that can be touched, written words can be read from journals in addition music/sounds can be heard and video/audio can be seen through vintage components. FREE DRINK/FOOD tickets will be available at the door. ID required for patrons taking part in the consumption of alcohol.
