Grab a good spot on the beach and enjoy a day in the park as you wait for the show to start! Gates will close to the public at 7 pm. Regular entrance fees apply from 7 am until 4 pm and at 5pm it will be $15 per car load. Carpool with friends and family for the best price! There will be Food Trucks, DJ, live music and fun around every corner.You can also enjoy beach volleyball, basketball courts, the treetop nature trail, playground, and fishing piers in the show's vicinity all day! Flip Side Watersports is joining again this year for some wakeboarding entertainment! They will hit the water at 5pm and show off some tricks on the water for all to enjoy! The launch site for the annual Fireworks show is located on private property that lies behind the area between the Alabaster Post Office (50 Kent Stone Way) and Starbucks (2171 Kent Dairy Road). APH Radio will broadcast patriotic music during the show on 99.9 FM. **OLS 4th of July Festival Thurs, July 4, 10am-3pm Cost: Free to attend At: OLS Catholic Church Homewood ([map](https://www.google.com/maps/place/Our+Lady+of+Sorrows+Church/@33.4761054,-86.7975094,17z/data=!3m1!4b1!4m5!3m4!1s0x88891965964bffb7:0x972d28c2fd22c982!8m2!3d33.4761054!4d-86.7953153))** Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church will host the 70th annual Fourth of July Festival on Thursday, July 4, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. This family-friendly event will include barbecue, hot dogs, snow cones, games, a dunking booth, inflatable house, a live DJ, and entertainment for all ages! The “Trash and Treasure” rummage sale will be open in the school gym from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., with about 10,000 items, including furniture, jewelry, home decor, clothing, and toys. This is free entry, but the first 400 people in line can enter the sale early on Thursday at 8 a.m. for a $5 donation. “Trash and Treasure” will continue on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., with everything being sold at half-price. **Independence Day 1776! Join your family, friends and neighbors at the American Village to celebrate Independence Day 1776! Fun, Food, Fireworks… you’ll find it all. Witness the Shot Heard ‘round the World at Concord Bridge, take part in the Independence Day Ball, meet Benjamin Franklin, Patrick Henry, Thomas Paine, and other patriots of the past. Enjoy BBQ, ice cream, sweet tea, and all your festival favorites. Admission is just $5 (free to veterans, active military and children 4 and under). The Battery B’ham is hosting their inaugural block party this 4th of July! District Brewing will have a special beer release, a corn hole tournament, and music! Original B’ham will be selling special edition pint glasses and hats! Arrive early for some fun and stay late to watch the fireworks! The other retailers in The Battery will have specials as well! Two blocks of 18th Street South & One block of 29th Ave South will be blocked for pedestrian traffic in Downtown Homewood to make way for rides and attractions. There will be a combination of inflatables/rides placed in the streets. A DJ will provide music and interactive activities for the patrons at the event. Downtown Homewood is one of the best locations in the entire metro Birmingham area to view the “Thunder on the Mountain” fireworks show from Vulcan Park. There is no admission charge to enter the downtown event area but to ride and play on the attractions an unlimited attractions wristband ($10) must be purchased. For decades, Vulcan Park and Museum has been hailed as presenting one of the largest and most extravagant Independence Day traditions in the state of Alabama—and this year will be no exception. On Thursday, July 4 at 9 p.m., Birmingham will once again illuminate the skies above Birmingham’s beloved iron man, Vulcan. Free to the public, this year’s show will last approximately 20 minutes and will feature a variety of firework shells that will brighten the sky with new colors and patterns.
