Avondale Continues to Grow in New Ways with 400 41st Street!
Fall is a season of change and this year that especially holds true for 41st Street in Avondale! You may have noticed a new glass building on the corner of 4th and 41st St. This project is the brainchild of developer Adam Thrower who wanted to add a multi-tenant retail space to complement Avondale’s booming restaurant and bar scene!
This new building has spaces for four tenants, three of which are already filled! Here is a quick look at who will be setting up shop in 400 41st Street. We are already excited!

JB Bradley, like us, is a graduate of the **[Co.Starters](https://createbirmingham.org/programs/co-starters/)** program! He and his business partner, Bonaventure Akinlosotu, plan on opening the **[Sidekicks Sneaker Shop](http://sidekicksbham.com/)** in the near future. They are both excited to become a part of the Avondale community. Not only will they sell sneakers and streetwear, they aim to become a cultural hub in the area. We always love to see our fellow Co.Starters grads doing great things!

Birmingham's first cookie doughery is on its way to Avondale! With a variety of safe-to-eat cookie dough, **[Cookie Dough Magic](https://www.facebook.com/cookiedoughmagic/?ref=br_rs)** is sure to be a hit among locals. You’ll be able to choose from 10 different cookie dough flavors and have the option of eating them from a cone or a cup! Melissa and Chris Bell are both excited to open up their business in the heart of Avondale and look forward to serving up some sweet treats to the Birmingham community! *Redeemer Church is Expanding*
The third space is now leased to Redeemer Community Church which will operate the space under the name **[4th & Spring](https://rccbirmingham.org/)**. Redeemer intends to use the space to further engage with the community, and 41st Street, by having a location for both their youth and general church to gather. It will also provide a space for meetings and multiple educational opportunities to be held! Redeemer has occasionally hosted **[Arc Stories](http://www.arcstories.com/lifeline/)**, one of our favorite Birmingham events!

There is still one spot left for the final tenant and we can’t wait to see who it’s going to be! From its sleek glass exterior to its beautiful mural, 400 41st Street has given new life to an old service station and is sure to be a happenin’ spot in our city! What would you like to see occupy the final space? Quite a few people have suggested that a gym or some type of specialized fitness center would be a welcome addition to Avondale!
