This weekend is PACKED with delicious food, cultural experiences, and some great music! You can also check out both football and futbol as both the Stallions and Legion FC are playing at Protective Stadium. It’s also the final weekend of “Dear Evan Hansen” at Red Mountain Theatre! AwakenUS YALL: Music Festival

AwakenUs is a four-day festival at the gorgeous campground of Bohamia, located just down the road in Talladega, AL.  This year's theme is "YALL," or "You Are Love & Light." This festival features primarily EDM DJ sets with a mix of House, Techno, Trance, and other EDM sub-genres. The weather should be near perfect for camping and enjoying the outdoors! The festival also features art activations, an effigy burn (think Burning Man), and a group hike to a waterfall!  This is a great festival for those thinking of trying Bonnaroo for the first time! You’re guaranteed to make some fantastic friends and have a wonderful time both dancing into the night and relaxing in nature!

The nonprofit Friends of Birmingham Botanical Gardens will host its annual Spring Plant Sale on Friday, April 17–Saturday, April 18, in person at Birmingham Botanical Gardens. Hundreds of plants—many of which have been nurtured at the Gardens by the Friends’ dedicated volunteer growing groups—will be available for purchase. Proceeds from the sale will support the Friends’ mission: to protect, nurture, and share the wonders of Birmingham Botanical Gardens. The sale will be held in the Gardens’ Formal Lawn and Hill Garden. Members of the Friends will enjoy first dibs on plant offerings through our Member Early-Bird Shopping (1–5:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 16).
