Get ready for one of the busiest event weekends of the season! Birmingham will be full of all kinds of cultural festivals, sporting events, and food! Some of these include Festa Italiana at Sloss Furnaces, Cahabaque at Cahaba Brewing, and Holi at Bham Museum of Art! There’s something for everyone this weekend in Birmingham. This critically acclaimed and Tony Award-winning 2015 musical is at RMT for the first time. All his life, Evan Hansen has felt invisible. We saw this show last week and were absolutely amazed at how incredible it was! We laughed, cried, and had a wonderful time!

It’s opening week for Baron’s Baseball! Come cheer them on as they take on their rivals, the Chattanooga Lookouts. Enjoy a free community event at Park 124, featuring live entertainment, food, and free family activities. The event will include live music by TRAVOLTA. This amazingly entertaining band brings ALL the good times and huge hits of the 1970’s discotheque era, plus the greatest dance pop hits of all time from the likes of Michael Jackson, Prince, Lionel Richie and more! They’ve got the look! They nail the songs just like the original recordings! Bring a blanket or lawn chairs to relax and enjoy the evening. The 16th Annual Mutt Strut is back and they’re celebrating The One Where We All Run for a Good Cause!  Since Hand in Paw turns 30 in 2026, they’re going full '90s with a Friends theme. Dust off your oversized flannel, perfect your Rachel haircut, and get ready to pivot your way through Birmingham's favorite dog-friendly 5K and 1-Mile Fun Run, all in support of Hand in Paw's Animal-Assisted Therapy programs.
Runners, walkers, dogs on leashes, kids, strollers, all welcome. No chip timing, just good vibes and four-legged cuteness. Stick around after the race for the Awards Ceremony, where will will award prizes for fastest runner, slowest dog, top fundraisers, and best costume. So grab your lobster (or your actual dog) and register today. Because they’lll be there for you! Be sure to head to the AFTER PARTY at Good Dog, starting at 11am!

The Funky Fish Fry is held every April to celebrate Autism Acceptance month. The event is hosted by the junior boards of Mitchell’s Place and the Autism Support of Alabama in support of individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) in Birmingham and beyond. The goal in creating this event is to prove that giving back to the community and raising awareness should not break the bank. This family-friendly rain or shine event will be fun for all, so we hope you will consider attending, sponsoring, and/or donating!
