THRIFTED PROM IS HERE!!!
There’s a lot going on in Birmingham this weekend, BUT we’re most excited about Thrifted Prom: Written in the Stars! We’re throwing a throw-back prom at Woodlawn Theatre THIS Friday 7-11pm and donating the proceeds to Woodlawn Community Table! Tickets are available HERE and at the door!
There’s also the Great Birmingham Bake Off (we are judges), Barons Baseball, Roller Derby, and much more! Check it out below!

The Bham Trample group is celebrating 10 years of riding every Thursday and they want you to join them! They will go for a short ride then come back to the shop to celebrate. They will have food for sale and other fun stuff. The ride will leave at 6:30 pm as normal but get there a little early so you are ready to roll!

Birmingham Barons vs Chattanooga Lookouts

The Birmingham Barons are back for the 2024 Season and will be taking on the Chattanooga Lookouts this weekend! They will have fireworks after BOTH the Friday and Saturday games! Sunday is Family Day, so bring the whole family for a day of fun at the ballpark! We can’t wait to attend the games this season!

Bards & Brews: National Poetry Month

Celebrate National Poetry Month with a Bards & Brews Open Mic at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, April 5. April's featured poet is the City of Birmingham's 1st poet laureate: Salaam Green! Hosted by Thed Weller, everyone is welcome to perform with their preferred form of spoken word arts or just enjoy a night of spoken word poetry & craft beer from our featured brewery. This open mic features brews from Oak Mountain Brewing! This program is free & open to the public. Must be 18+ to enter & 21+ to drink with proof of I.D. Bards & Brews is sponsored by the Alabama State Council on the Arts.

Thrifted Prom: Written in the Stars

Get ready to revisit some of your favorite prom memories at Thrifted Prom: Written in the Stars! Hosted by Happenin’s in the Ham at Woodlawn Theatre, this will be a night to remember! Tickets will include catering by Ashley Mac’s and a signature cocktail/mocktail drink ticket.
Dance the night away with the fabulous DJ, STEVO BLAQUE and soak up some cliche prom vibes! We’ll also have a photo booth by Elevated Entertainment so you can recreate your favorite cheesy prom poses!
Guests are encouraged to source their outfits from locally owned thrift stores and there will be a prize for Most Creative and Most Sustainable/Upcycled look!
Proceeds will be donated to Woodlawn Community Table, a 501(c)3 sustainable low-income food cooperative with the focus of healthy food options and relationship building to raise the social capital of its neighbors in the Woodlawn community.

Great Birmingham Bake Off

Come to Cahaba Brewing on Saturday, April 6th to sample delicious baked goods made by competing teams of local bakers. All of the baked goods start with one of the WE Made Southern Staples baking mixes. Your $20 ticket lets you sample each of the competing baked goods, plus you'll receive a ticket for a Cahaba Brewing beer!
Local celebrity judges (including Happenin’s in the Ham!) will determine the Grand Champion and the Team Spirit awards. YOU and other ticket holders will vote for the People's Choice Award! There will be live music, a food truck or two, and the Junior Board will be selling WE Made mixes and other products at the event so that you can try your own recipes.

Join in for Birmingham Vegan Fest Spring 2024. This festival is growing even larger than last year. This FREE event is open to everyone, 11am-5pm, Sunday, April 7th, at Cahaba Brewing.
The event will showcase the blossoming local vegan scene, so there will be a heavy emphasis on local food trucks, pop ups, and other vegan-friendly vendors, but they’re sprinkling in some fun booths from out of town as well.
