HAPPY SIDEWALK, BIRMINGHAM!
Sidewalk Film Festival is already underway with Spotlight Nights with the main festival kicking off Friday Night with a block party in front of the Alabama Theatre! We’ll running around the festival all weekend, but there are also plenty of other fun events happenin’ around Birmingham this weekend. Check out the list below and start planning your fun!

27th Annual Sidewalk Film Festival

We are SO excited for the 27th Annual Sidewalk Film Festival! It’s our favorite weekend in Birmingham! You’ll be able to watch a TON of independent films including feature length films, shorts, documentaries, and much more! Most of the filmmakers will be in attendance as well. The Spotlight Nights are already underway leading up to the opening night film and block party on Friday! There’s also a Rodeo Themed party on Saturday Night at Cahaba Brewing!
You can buy individual tickets for the films and parties, a day pass, a weekend pass, or a VIP Weekend Pass that comes with all kinds of perks! After nearly 30yrs, there are attendees who’ve literally been attending this festival for their entire lives! We’ll be posting all weekend from the festival, so come say hi if you see us!

SIDEWALK Pre Party/Opening Night After Party

Part of the 27th Annual Sidewalk Film Festival presented by Regions Bank! Don't rush home after work, join in for some fun on 3rd Avenue before the opening night film! They’ll have food trucks, bars, and more. In theme with the opening night film, come dressed as your favorite Disney character/best Disney-bound fit for the chance to win a VIP Pass to next year's Fest! Winners will be announced after the film. The pre-party is FREE!
For $40 you can get a ticket to the opening night film, “Stolen Kingdom,” and access to the block party on 3rd Ave afterwards! Enjoy drinks, music from DJ Andrea Really, Food Trucks, and more! This is THE place to be in Birmingham!

Jimmy Buffett Tribute Night

Join in for a Jimmy Buffett Tribute Concert with the Nautical Wheelers! Tickets are $10 and will be sold at the door. Concessions will be available! Doors open at 6pm, This event is part of the "Music at East Lake" initiative! Music as East Lake seeks to celebrate local artists, and create space for the East Lake community to enjoy good music at an affordable price!

Purple Madness

The Molly Ringwalds

This is a 1980s musical experience you don’t want to miss! The Molly Ringwalds take the stage in full 80’s costumes to bring some of your favorite 1980’s hits to life! Get ready to dance and sing along to the best of 80’s music. So many people love attending in their best 80’s attire to make the experience all the more fun! There’s nothing quite like seeing them whip out a flute to play “Down Under” or singing “Livin’ on a Prayer” with the entire Iron City crowd! This show is always high energy and The Ringwalds will be bringing their A game!

This is a FREE family friendly festival that is open to the public that will include live music, a health & wellness area, a kids zone along with food and merchandise vendors. Cahaba Cocktail Crawl

Sip your way through the Cahaba Heights Entertainment District! Participating Business will have Cocktails and Mocktails for you to enjoy. Grab a Cocktail Passport and sip along! Fill up the passport and be entered to win a basket of local goodies! There will be live music, and local retailers will also have specials as well! For $30 you can book with Birmingham Pedal Tours for a fun way to experience this event without walking!

Cars for a Cause

Enjoy classic cars, custom rides, food, family activities, a Silent Auction, music, and more — all while supporting Arc of Shelby County’s mission that empowers individuals with developmental disabilities and delays and their families. Enjoy a Low Country Boil, by Til We Run Out ($20/per plate) and food from the business inside Campus 124, and food vendors. All proceeds go directly to support programs and services offered through Early Intervention Services, Employment Services, Community Services and at their day program, New Visions. Bring your lawn chairs, blankets, coolers, and relax outside and enjoy the car show and the community event next to Park 124 .
