Friday is rEVOLVEr’s monthly Pride edition of Happy Hour featuring a rave crafting station with biodegradable body glitter, coloring books, DIY art, & supplies to make kandi bracelets with Bham Wubz! Plus music by DJ Smol Bean, a local non-binary neurodivergent DJ! They stay open an hour later for one happy hour a month, so this one will be 4–7 p.m.

The Annual Gardendale Magnolia Festival is an award-winning, family-friendly event held at the Gardendale Civic Center complex. It’s an economical, family-friendly experience that promotes local businesses, tourism, local arts & culture, and volunteerism in the greater Gardendale area. There will be over 160 vendors, 2 stages of live entertainment, a pooch parade, midway-style carnival, car show, free kid zone, petting zoo/pony rides and more!

This year, Mutt Strut is turning up the disco vibes, so get your bell-bottoms, sequins, and furry companions ready for a groovy time. Whether you're a runner, walker, or just here for the furry fun, everyone's welcome to come boogie and support the healing power of Animal-Assisted Therapy.  Mutt Strut will be a pawsome morning filled with funky beats, dazzling disco outfits, and wagging tails as we come together to raise funds for the incredible work of Hand in Paw. Runners and walkers of all skill levels, dogs on leashes, and kids of all ages are encouraged to participate in this non-chipped race! Strollers are allowed on the race course. Don’t miss the after party at Good Dog from 11am-2pm!

Some folks will literally be lining up the night before for access to limited releases of some incredible albums at 8am! However, the fun goes all day long! On Saturday, Earthbound will play their highly-anticipated annual outdoor concert, Earthbound’s Earthfest, at Avondale Brewery! Open to all ages (under 21 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian), this family-friendly event’s purpose is to raise awareness for Earth Day and raise funds for Black Warrior Riverkeeper. Throughout the event, Earthbound will play several sets, complemented by exhibits from local artists. Optional donations from the audience and merchandise sales will help support Black Warrior Riverkeeper’s efforts to protect local waterways and drinking water.
