This weekend is full of all kinds of fun! There are a few ways to celebrate Earth Day 2026, a wing competition, and the return of Magic City Art Connection! Join Lane Parke for their Blooms & Bubbly Workshop hosted by Wild Honey Flower Truck! Come create on Thursday, April 23rd from 6:00 - 7:30 PM at Buff City Soap in Lane Parke! Wild Honey Flower Truck will host a fun and creative workshop where they will teach you the secrets to creating the perfect bouquet and you’ll get to take yours home! Magic City Art Connection 2026

Head to Sloss Furnaces National Historic Landmark and celebrate MCAC’s 43rd year! Take in the Festival’s annual spring infusion of sights, sounds, tastes, and aromas at this iconic Birmingham attraction.
2026 will spotlight 150 juried, fine artists from the state, region, and around the country alongside Corks & Chefs: A Taste of Birmingham (29th year!), Imagination Festival art workshops for kids, Collectors Classroom demos, live music and dance performances, special exhibitions, art/sculpture installations, cultural partners, Festival Café with food trucks and other favorites, and relaxing in the open air amongst thousands of works of art and neighbors at MCAC’s Umbrella Lounges dotting the site. ASFA: Spring Serenade

Featuring the world premiere of Motion Blur by Guadalupe composer Alyssa Regent, performed by Marcus Eley, along with soloists Steve Roberts (UAB) and Ron Rodriguez (Samford), with the Jazz Ensemble. This will be an incredible night of music! The evening will close with a performance of Saint-Saëns’s Symphony No. 3, the “Organ” Symphony.

Together, we'll walk to honor those we've lost, celebrate those in recovery, and offer hope to those still struggling. Every step taken helps raise awareness about the substance use crisis affecting our community. Join us to save lives and build a stronger, healthier future for Birmingham and the state of Alabama. This 10th annual event raises awareness and funds to help combat the addiction epidemic in Alabama. Your participation in this event directly supports life-saving programs in our community. Every dollar raised helps: Provide scholarships for treatment and recovery resources. Support high school youth prevention efforts. Reduce the stigma surrounding substance use and mental health.

On Saturday, April 25, 2026, Earthbound will play their highly-anticipated annual outdoor concert, Earthbound’s Earthfest, at Avondale Brewing Company! Open to all ages (under 21 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian), this family-friendly event’s purpose is to raise awareness for Earth Day and raise funds for Black Warrior Riverkeeper. Throughout the event, Earthbound will play several sets, joined by speeches from Black Warrior Riverkeeper and exhibits from local artists and charities. Optional donations from the audience and merchandise sales will support Black Warrior Riverkeeper’s efforts to protect local waterways and drinking water sources.
