Goulash Comedy is teaming with the Literacy Council of Central/North Alabama for a comedy benefit show to help the council raise money for the upcoming year. The comedy show is called Book Report! Comedians are assigned a book they have never read and then give a report on the book. There are a panel of “teachers” who grade each comedian’s book report. The winner takes home a prize! They’ll have live music, book reports and interviews with authors! This show is an amazing time for fans of comedy, literature and fun! Both seasoned spoken word artists and novice poets are invited to participate in this Open Mic poetry event. Voice Porter will serve as host and emcee.
