Legion FC Kicks Off Their New Season!
This weekend has TWO amazing fundraisers, the first St.Patrick’s Day events of the season, and the first official Legion FC Home Game at Protective Stadium!  It’s a packed out weekend and we have plenty of fun events to share with you! Check them out!  Also, if you see us on Saturday afternoon, we’ll probably be SUPER caffeinated!

Monkey’s Approacheth

The Grand Bohemian will have NEW works from our friend, and local artist, John Lytle Wilson! Stop by from 5-7pm and check out some amazing paintings! You’ve probably seen some of his giant robot and monkey murals around town.  John is known for adding some fun touches to older paintings as well as creating 100% original artwork featuring vivid colors that capture the imagination!

Taste of Homewood 2022

Come enjoy samples from 30 local restaurants at the eighteenth annual Taste of Homewood! Ticket prices include unlimited samples of food and beverage, live entertainment, and more! Tickets are $30 in advance, and $40 the day of the event. We always love attending this event! It’s a great way to support local restaurant owners and sample some of their best dishes!

Chamber Music at AEIVA

Enjoy FREE chamber music performed by some of Alabama’s top musicians and thoughtfully curated in response to artworks currently on display in AEIVA’s current batch of exhibitions. “Chamber Music @ AEIVA” is a free concert series that aims to present quality chamber music in an engaging, inviting environment. The series offers semesterly concerts that connect music with the art on display at the Abroms-Engel Institute for the Visual Arts (AEIVA). Registration is required to attend this in-person event.

Bulls Hockey: Thirsty Thursday!

It’s Thirsty Thursday as the Bulls take on the Rail Yard Dogs! Bring your friends and enjoy drink specials all game long! This is a great outing for the young adult crowd. Cheer on our hometown hockey team, see some fights, and have a great time!

Coffee Concert: Mendelssohn’s Scottish Symphony

Somber and lush turned vivacious and mystical. Experience musical impressions of Edinburgh’s Holyrood Palace at twilight in Mendelssohn’s Scottish Symphony. This is a great way to enjoy a Friday lunch break! The ASO does a fantastic job of putting on a short, yet memorable concert.

17th Annual Schoolhouse Rock

Keep Rockin' with the Cornerstone School Junior Board as they host the 17th Annual Schoolhouse Rock on Friday, March 11, 2022 at Regions Field! Voted Best Charity Event Six Years in a Row in About Town Magazine! Guests will enjoy live music from Just a Few Cats, silent auction, wine toss and event giveaways. Tickets include complimentary beer, wine, heavy hors d'oeuvres and a cash bar. It's going to be a rockin' good time you will not want to miss! Cocktail attire. All proceeds will directly benefit the students of Cornerstone School.

They've got a full music lineup outside with Outshine, Gringo Fife, Twelve, Nacho Daddy AND inside with Finding North, Ben Williams Music and Parkside Pickers! Tour de Brewers XVII: St. Patrick’s Edition

Tour de Brewers XVII is a roughly 13K'ish informal charity run/ride/brewery crawl supporting The Dannon Project that combines the "fun" of a fun run with the real fun of tasting great Birmingham local brews. The running/cycling event starts at 11:00am at Tin Roof Birmingham. As a participant, you will receive a race bib with 5 vouchers each good for a craft beer at any of the stops on the event. Birmingham Hammerfest!

Saturday's FREE pet and family-friendly cycling festival will showcase exciting, fast-paced street racing. Saturday, March 12 will feature: Drink Specials, Beer Garde, Food Truck, a Kid's Zone, Bike Valet, and so much more! Don't miss out on the Sunday, March 13 Hammer Ride!
