Celebrating July 4th in Birmingham wouldn’t be the same without the OLS Trash & Treasure Sale!  Arrive EARLY to get in line for when they open up the sale at 8am!  There will be all kinds of items, ranging from art, furniture, games, tools, clothing, and more!  They will have cakes, games, and activities, as well as some delicious BBQ!  The sale will continue on Friday with the remaining items being marked down for even better deals! Pro Tip: Bring sunscreen, water, and a big hat if you plan to wait in line.

Homewood 4th of July Festival

The City of Homewood and Homewood Parks and Rec invite you to The Homewood 4th of July Festival. Join in for fun and fireworks on 18th street starting at 5pm, no admission charge! Enjoy an unlimited attractions wristband for rides and attractions for just $10. You can purchase your wristband at the location near the intersection of 18th Street South and 29th Avenue South. "Thunder on the Mountain" fireworks show starts at 9pm and Downtown Homewood is one of the best locations in the entire metro Birmingham area to view the fireworks over Vulcan. The City of Homewood is a proud sponsor of The Thunder on the Mountain show. Please note: The fireworks are launched from Vulcan Park. The park will close at 6pm to prepare so make arrangements to view them from Homewood!

4th of July Trample

It’s time for one of Birmingham’s most beloved events, Thunder on the Mountain!  Generations of residents have so many wonderful memories of watching a dazzling display of fireworks over Vulcan as they celebrate with friends and family. Find a viewing spot and bring your blankets and chairs as you tune in to your favorite iHeart radio station to listen to the music that will accompany the show! We can’t think of a better way to end your 4th of July celebration!
