Art Crawl Turns 5!

Help celebrate Art Crawls fifth birthday at The Pizitz on #FirstThursday this June! Bards & Brews will be joining in as well! The ASO is returning to Railroad Park to play three FREE concerts June 7-9 thanks to Regions Bank! Friday & Saturday night will feature classical favorites, and on Sunday enjoy Family Fun Day with a family-friendly pops concert beginning at 6 p.m. So grab some friends, a blanket, and a picnic, and join us for a fabulous weekend of music! Enjoy a different performance each night! We encourage you to attend Friday in case we get rain during the weekend. See you there!

Our friend Comedienne Joy founded the original Birmingham food tour and it includes a party bus! This weekend, she’s hosting a special tour in conjunction with Gip’s Juke Joint Festival! Passengers will board the Party Bus and sample small plate bites from 3 restaurants in metro Birmingham, then they’ll finish the evening at Gip's Place! This is a 4hr food tour! Meet midway in the parking lot of Grille 29 near Macy's in Brookwood Mall once you’ve purchased your ticket. This is an experience you do NOT want to miss! 2019 Central AL Pride Parade

The 2019 Pride Parade will continue its same route from the past few years! (Click HERE for a list of ongoing Pride Events in Bham!) This year’s parade will feature tons of great organizations and businesses!! If you’re interested in helping carry our huge Pride flag, show up at the staging area at 7th ave S and 32nd st around 7PM! Step off will be at 8PM. The parade is being judged this year, so expect some great creativity! Judging will take place in front of Al’s on Seventh. This event is family friendly for all ages!

**Art in the Park: Tree Ring Printing

Head out to OMSP and make your very own tree ring print! No advanced registration required! Tree rings tell the history of not only trees but of our environment through time as well. By printing tree rings you can age the tree and capture a piece of history and turn it into art you can take home! Stop by anytime from 2:00pm-4:00pm at the back porch of the Oak Mountain Interpretive Center! Free with admission into OMSP! This event is also Stroller and Wheelchair accessible.
