Barons vs. Tennessee
Tuesday, May 3 - Sunday, May 8

The Birmingham Barons are back in the Magic City this Tuesday, May 3rd until Sunday, May 8th for the third home stand of the year. The Barons will be hosting the Tennessee Smokies, the Double-A affiliate of the Chicago Cubs. The home stand features a t-shirt giveaway, the first School Day of the year, Thirsty Thursday, Friday night fireworks, Regions night, and family day.

Cinco de Mayo Open House

Stop by HICA - the Hispanic Interest Coalition of Alabama’s open house on Cinco de Mayo. They’ll have a new mural to debut and new stories to share. Food and drinks will be provided. Come check out the community development and advocacy organization that champions economic equality, civic engagement, and social justice for Latino families in Alabama.

Fiesta Ball

The Young Supporters Board of the O’Neal Comprehensive Cancer Center at UAB will host the 15th annual Fiesta Ball on Thursday at Haven. Come for an an exciting evening with live music, food from Happy Catering and a silent auction. Beginning this year, money raised at Fiesta Ball will fund the O’Neal NextGen Scholars Awards, which support the training of future scientific leaders in cancer research. Tickets are $45 in advance and $50 at the door.

Tails and Trails

The  Birmingham Zoo’s Junior Board invites you to their 12th Annual Tails in the Trails event on Friday. Party down on the Trails of Africa at this outdoor celebration with music, foodie favorites from area restaurants, beer, wine, two specialty cocktails, and auction. What would an event at the zoo be without animal encounters like flamingos and giraffes. One drink ticket per person is included with the purchase of event admission or you can get the unlimited drinks band for $50 per person. Purchase your tickets for this fabulous fundraiser benefiting the new Cougar Crossing habitat!

We Love Homewood Day 2022

We Love Homewood Day 2022 will be a day full of festivities and celebrating Homewood! Events for the day include: We Love Homewood 5k at 8am, Neighbors Ice Cream Fun Run, Festival in Central Park from 10-4pm, Parade at 6pm, and so much more. As the sun sets just after the conclusion of the parade, the action picks up with live entertainment and a Street Dance in Edgewood.  Bring the entire family and your lounge chair and be ready to dance the night away.

Celebrate the Family Expo

The 3rd Annual “Celebrate the Family Expo” event kicks off at 10 a.m. with a welcome from Hoover Mayor Frank Brocato and swag bags full of giveaways for the first 200 attendees. Entertainment will include live music, free 18 foot climbing wall,free inflatables, free face painting, and lots of dancing and photo opportunities with Minions and the Chick-fil-A Herd of Cows. Food vendors at the event include delicious Street Bowlz, Krazy Good BBQ, and Steel City Pops.

Birmingham Stallions vs Tampa Bay Bandits

You can expect fireworks on and off the field as the undefeated Stallions take on Tampa Bay!  For just $10 you can watch the game in Protective Stadium and see a fireworks display afterwards!
