This weekend is FULL of some fun events! You can enjoy opening weekend for Barons Baseball and the Birmingham Stallions! There are also plenty of concerts as well as an all you can eat BBQ event! Check out the full list below!

Spring Plant Sale

The nonprofit Friends of Birmingham Botanical Gardens will host its annual Spring Plant Sale on Friday, April 14–Saturday, April 15, in person at Birmingham Botanical Gardens. Hundreds of plants—many of which have been nurtured at the Gardens by the Friends’ dedicated volunteer growing groups—will be available for purchase. Proceeds from the sale will support the Friends’ mission: to protect, nurture, and share the wonders of Birmingham Botanical Gardens.

Party on the Porch

Party on the Porch brings together local musicians, breweries, food trucks, and local businesses for an evening you do not want to miss! This is a family-friendly event, with activities for kids, a dog-friendly atmosphere, live music, good food, cornhole, giveaways, and loads of fun! Attendance is free, but they ask that of-age (21+) attendees donate (not required) $10 for a wristband and a souvenir cup, with your donation going to a local non-profit organization at the event. Come help support Wild Alabama and their work to ensure our outdoor spaces and forests across our state are preserved for generations to come. They'll have live music from CashBack as well as great BBQ from Saw's Street Kitchen and treats from Naughty but Nice Kettle Corn Co.--and of course, plenty of Good People brews!

Bards & Brews April Open Mic: National Poetry Month

Bards & Brews is free & open to the public. Must be 18+ to enter, 21+ to drink. Please bring proof I.D.!

Spring Wine Festival 2023

The Wine Festival is back with local vendors, food trucks, live music, grape stomping, great food and wine from CFW, and some great gear to help kick off spring in the South! This is a come-and-go style event, so you’re able to enjoy the event when you’re able! Tickets are $27 for adults(21+) or $8 for children(<21). Adult tickets include 2 drink tickets, grape stomp ticket, Corbin Cash(valid towards any purchase made with the winery on 04/15/23), in a Corbin Farms tote bag! Child’s Ticket includes a grape stomp ticket and a ticket for a soft drink. Ticket prices will increase on the day of the festival to $30 for Adults and $10 for Children. These tickets will be limited, so be sure to purchase your tickets in advance!

The Bell Center Cornhole Classic

Hosted by the Bell Center Junior Board, The Bell Center Cornhole Classic is a round-robin tournament that will keep your cornhole skills intact during tailgating off-season. Top social teams will advance to the playoffs for a chance at great prizes and gift cards. Top Competitive teams will advance to the playoffs for a chance at the $1000 prize pool. Head over to Good People Brewing for throwing bags, eating delicious food, and listening to great music! Food will be available for purchase from local food trucks! This spring, Rodney Scott and Nick Pihakis, Birmingham BBQ legends and talent behind Rodney Scott’s BBQ will be special guest judges! SpringStock returns for USFL Season 2 and it's back where it all began! Join The REF and Zach for another packed Live Pre-Game show from Birmingham, AL. The event takes place at Casey's Sports Bar (formerly Todd English Pub), inside the Westin across the street from Protective Stadium. You'll want to arrive early to see Bo Scarbrough and J'Mar Smith of the Birmingham Stallions in the first HOUR. Stick around, because they have many more interviews lined up throughout the afternoon before the game kicks off at 6:30pm.
