This October 12th, put on some pink and head over to The Fennec for Haute Pink 2022!  If you aren’t familiar with this fashionable event, it’s a fundraiser for Forge Breast Cancer Survivor Center.

The Forge Breast Cancer Survivor Center has a mission to “support, empower, and improve the quality of life for Alabama breast cancer patients, survivors, and those who love them from the day of diagnosis through the rest of life.”  What began in 2014 as the Breast Cancer Survivorship Rehabilitation Initiative, Forge was incorporated in 2020 as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization under the Forge Survivorship Center. Forge creates personalized survivorship plans and pairs clients with volunteer mentors. These mentors accompany clients to their appointments, while the Center helps schedule appointments, provides counseling, and other services to help their clients during their treatments and recovery.

A Creative Way to Help the Cause
Last year we had the pleasure of attending Haute Pink 2021.  We got to see 10 models paired with 10 designers for a night of high fashion! All the models have been impacted by breast cancer as a survivor, co-survivor, or previvor.
The designers create fabulous custom outfits for the model they are paired with. The models then take to the runway to show off these incredible designs!  The event was emceed by our friend, and local Birmingham Mountain Radio host, Will Lochamy.  Will did such a great job, he has been invited back to host this year’s event!

Impactful Stories
Before each model has their moment in the spotlight, a video is played wherein they tell their emotional story, talk about the experience participating in Haute Pink, and how Forge has helped them on their journey. Boxes of tissues are conveniently placed in the center of each table, which is good because you’ll probably need them.
We attend LOTS of events each year, and can say that we were blown away by how well organized and impactful the 2021 Haute Pink event was!

This year's event will take place at The Fennec on Wednesday, October 12, 6:30pm. You can get your ticket HERE . Admission price includes two drink tickets, food, music, and the fashion show! The proceeds will support Forge Breast Cancer Survivor Center and all the amazing work they do!
